was going to wait to post till I cooled down but after being at the game my blood pressure is through the roof, last quarter we were kicking with a 2 to 3 goal and couldn't even kick a goal
That was one of the most insipid displays I have seen in watching footy for over 50yrs,where to start lack effort and guts to attack the ball except say , Banfield, Jones ,Schultz & Carter (maybe Duman but boy he butchered the ball at times)
What also stood out was Egirls use of the ball when kicking compared to our second rate kicking and handball skills
When we recruit players kicking skills cant have the same weighting as what the egirls recruiters are looking for
I really fear for our short term playing stocks as in reality apart from the 22 guys playing in the firsts tonight we probably only have 4 or 5 other players up to AFL standard
Most promising young player is Jason Carter (honourable mention to Sturt who I think will be OK)
Still early days (and I know he is underdone) but Valente`s skills are questionable
