The interesting one for me in Cal Twomey's list is someone who's missing. Jeremy Sharp was almost a top 10 lock at the start of the season, battling it out for the first picked and despite earning another U18 AA again this year (one of three players to go back to back) he seems to have dropped in a lot of experts opinions. This is potentially a huge boost for Freo as I see more potential in him than all but a handful of players available.
I continually questioned his hardness at the contest and the ball across the championships and I'll hand it to him, his final game against Country he showed a bit more strength and put himself in harms way. Henry effectively replaced him on a wing in that game after Sharp was a late addition to the team having initially been dropped from the named side. Sharp went on to play from the half forwardline and bench with small stints in the middle and he impressed me gathering 11 marks, 20 touches and a goal.
His kicking is elite and the best in the draft but it did let him down at times over the championships including that final game vs Country. He has fantastic pace and run though with a style very reminiscent of Stephen Hill. Hopefully he can continue to show he's not afraid to cop a bit of contact or earn his own footy because he could be the steal of the draft.
