Regardless of who's playing, I'd like to know how we're going to score more than 11 goals because you're going to need 15 or more to win this game.

McCarthy, Matera, Walters 2; Lobb 1 or 2; Tucker, Mundy, Fyfe 1.

That's only 10 or 11 goals.

Love these ins.
I don’t want to jinx this, but nothing would give me greater pleasure than a 36 yer old Sandi coming in and really taking it up to Nic Naitanui. He has approximately equal time out of the game, with no WAFL game to ease himself and 55% game time.
Cmon Sandi time to show the comp what a really genuine top class ruckman can do.
I was listening to the guys on Purple Reign, and they made the statement that Mundy could possibly be one of the most underrated players in recent history. In my opinion Sandilands despite 4 AA guernsey’s still remains this person. While he is acknowledged as a very good ruckman, somehow he always seems to be mentioned in the second sentence whenever the topic of “the best ruckman” is spoken about.
I hope like hell his body is ready and we can glimpse how the Sandi/Lobb combo could be.
He could quite possibly be my all time favourite Docker. How good was it, when his dominance of Cox carried us to derby win after win.

Davo: Ed x 2, Bradley x 1, Conyer (or whatever his name is) x 1, Switkowski x 1, Matera x 2, Mikey x 3, Mr. 300 and a few x 2, and Cam will kick 5. How many is that? Oh, 17 - ok, the Owl will have a breakout game and add 3 goals to take us up to 20.

That'll do it - we'll hold them to 6.12.

Expat, dropkicks out of the coaches box would be a tremendous start.

Disappointing to see Banfield out. He was a revelation last year and hasn’t been given a chance to get some form in the 1st team. He deserves a spot ahead of Colyer, Conca and maybe Crowden.

Ok. I think that we will lose. I have to think that because to do otherwise is bad for my mental health.
But Sandi in makes me so happy.
My hopes:
i: Sandi breaks No-Stat’s ribs (and soul)
ii: Fyfe wins three votes from the very hardworking, under-appreciated and unfairly maligned maggots.
iii: Colyer gets 5 weeks off for breaking Gaff’s jaw.
iv: Crowden manages to avoid being tackled despite an inability to look over his shoulder due to a lack of neck.
v: Lobb kicks 5 goals as a dedicated forward and states in the media: “I mean, I said I was a forward not a ruck...”
vi: Cera and Brayshaw in the middle “clicks” and we get a glimpse of the future.

I'd probably make a comment about rushing a non-match fit Sandi back in but it seems to set the chooks off.

I'll settle for just hoping we smash the $%#@#@$ and Gaff embarrasses himself when he thinks Sandi is going to crush him like a bug

It should be close. They beat 15th on the ladder with a last gasp goal, and we lost to 17th on the ladder because of a last gasp goal last weekend.

I'm not sure what Nyhuis has to do to get a regular game. Hope Sandi lasts the game out. Ditto for Lobb.

And I hope at least one of our players gets a 3 week holiday for hurting an Eagle. I'd prefer it to be Yeo.

Theres abit of Mat de Boar about Banfielld. Doesnt seem to be getting a go, and when he does, its as arole player or a position that doesn't suit him. He certainly was one of the brighter outcomes from last year.

Someone said in another post, that he was "played as a second tall forward last week, but it didn't work.."

Hardly surprising that that it didnt...

Thought we weren't far off in Derby 1 this year. 5 changes from that 22 for Sat night.

Out
Tabs
Hogan
Pearce
Schultz
Duman

In
Sandi
Fyfe
Blakely
Logue
Crowden

Takeaway: our midfield is a hell of a lot stranger with Sandi, Fyfe and Blakely in the mix. Missing the tall timber will hurt down back and up front but Lobb being able to play forward helps.

Kind of intrigued to see how WC defence mans up on our fwd line (especially when Lobb in ruck and Sandi off) as all of McGovern, Barrass, Hurn usually play on talls.

I'd like:

- Switkowski to go to Sheppard in a shutdown role and force other blokes (Jetta, Duggan, etc) to the the WC users off HB.
- Send someone mobile (quick and can turn) to Darling. He was much maligned but Sutcliffee use to go well on him in Derbies.
- Make Gaff accountable (send B Hill in a shoot out) or shut him down with Crowden.

Love the Derby
