Today’s game opitimises our team. Win the unwinnable, lose the unloseable. Only freo could lose at home to one of the worst clubs in the comp, that bad they sacked their coach. Down their 2 best players, top 8 and realistically finals on the line. A few weeks ago we beat the Pies at the G and now we can’t beat the Blues at home??? Rock bottom......again!

How bad? How about coughing up a 5.2 to 0.3 quarter time lead. Carlton didn't score a goal until the 11 minute mark of the second quarter.

Even after Carlton scored 4 goals in a row, they still played like they were 10 goals up.

They won't even have a lead against West Coast next week.

I am so angry with that last quarter display. I ask why is Cox in the side? Fair dinkum if you banged a star picket into the ground at full forward it would be 100 times more dangerous and cover more ground. Our team selection this week was piss poor. After losing to the 16th ranked team lastt week more changes should have been made. As well as the blokes who went out injured I would have given Cox, Wilson and Hughs a rest. Cox, its obvious, Wilson looks like he doesnt give a rats and Hughs just needs to work on his decision making.
Great to see Cam Mac in yhe side again, as well as Banfield and Cerra. Hodor looks banged up, I rekon we should be playing two rucks. Also sack the high performance coach.

The problems go way deeper than Cox.

For a start I've never seen a side beaten at clearances like we were beaten. I'm not sure what the stats were but Darcy looked ineffectual.

They played an extra behind the play. We simply had no answer. No field position to switch, no short 45 leads to create space. It's the 18th side doing a basic thing and we just had no answer.

Carlton played field position we went to the ball. They are last, what on earth do you think West Coast will do to us next week?

Hit outs were 43 to 45. I'm a bit of a fan of the "old" Hodor, and probably biased, but thats "breakeven" I'd reckon.

Yep, he didn't dominate. But he certainly didnt get 'flogged'.

Where he is ineffectual now, is around the ground. Its like he's told to just follow the ball and go up when required.

Hes not just 'sticking it on the boot' like he did when he first came in.

Its been coached out of him I'd reckon. A bit like Mcpharlin being told to "punch" the ball and not go for the mark...

When you lose to the bottom side at home it gets very depressing.
Not sure where we are at in that we have improved on last year but we still seem a long way from the elite sides.
Even ross who seems to be getting quite honest said in the presser tonight that carlton’s Skill level was better than ours.

And that is still the bottom line - skill
We work extra hard to achieve what other sides do more easily.
Our second half’s to our years have been poor since the beginning of 2015. Yes 2015. Look at that year where we came first on the back of a great first half.
I don’t think ross game is sustainable compared to their sides . Yes he can coach and he is pretty good , but he won’t win a flag at freo.

Let’s see how many players stay at this year end,
