Conca continues to be a very handy contributor in the middle, good tackler, good in traffic stepped up along with the bigger names; had a good game today. It's hard to see who goes out, maybe Cerra for Stephen Hill is a like for like, but you wouldn't would you.
There's a few Nyhuis v Duman quandaries playing out but at present rate of attrition we're going to need all hands on deck.
Perhaps give the youngest ones a rest - Brayshaw very good again but only, what, 19?

Duman, Hughes, Bewley and Switkowski its coming from those if no-one else gets sick or injured I reckon.. I saw Conca had 10 clearances on the weekend thats a pretty high number. Same as Fyfe.

I don't think the clearances are our problem, and Darcy is going to make a big difference to those figures in games to come. What happens at the other end of the clearance is the problem. I don't see Conca as all that effective in putting us in a better position from the clearance. Fyfe is improving in that regard, but I would have Blakely in there more, he has a good instinct on where players are as he gets the footy and generally takes the right option. Mundy is not having to do so much of the heavy lifting now, and should be used more as the first receiver from the clearance, because he needs minimal space and time to use the footy. Bennell down forward, directing traffic and getting space organized for the likes of Hogan would be invaluable.

It's very hard to drop players from a hard working winning team but Harley Bennell is a must play. The tough call based on Saturday would be Tucker out due to terrible disposal and let Conca take on the tagging roll. No idea how we get Cerra back in but maybe Switta due to his low possession count and lack of scoreboard impact but I do love his tackling and pressure acts.

I’m not sure why there is this great need to find a spot for Cerra. He’s 19. A long career is ahead of him. A stint at Peel until a vacancy occurs isn’t the end of the world.

Yeah I agree. Cerra playing a couple of whole games in the midfield at Peel might be the best thing for him. If he goes any longer not playing midfield he might forget how to be a midfielder. Tucker has had a good year but yes his disposal was terrible on the weekend but everyone has a shocker every now and then I suppose.

Harley played deep forward for most of the game and whilst he didnt have big stats he is all class every time he gets the ball (should have had 3 goals but missed a sitter from set shot 35 dead in front , he would normally kick it 99 out of 100
He is ready for the firsts and will be an even better player with the likes of Sonny and Hilly around him Let him loose at the G
Our best player was Banfield followed by Nhyuis
Balla`s was poor and looked disinterested and North was also poor
On a promising note Meek did well against Higgins and needs to play as first ruck for the rest of the year (gone ahead of Jones but that`s not hard)
