I think the playing jumpers were fantastic (except for the Eagles, which IMO was tokenistic).
Given that Collingwood normally defend their prison stripes so vigorously, I think theirs was a great credit to them.
Its a pity we only see them across the whole competition for so few games.
Given that 'Recognition' would be a good strategy for the AFL (as distinct from 'Reconciliation') and that there has been such an enormous contribution to the game by indigenous players over the years, it would please me to see the indigenous jumpers worn by opposing teams a number of times during the season — they certainly seem to make our indigenous players go up a cog.
It would also break down the idea that 'this is our jumper and always our jumper' ... and think of the marketing opportunities for greedy bean counters.
