If we are going to change the way we play, then there is no real point in delaying pulling the trigger. We can get a half season head start and swing into next season better prepared. Plus we have all that time to scout for the best coach / ass coach prospects.

If we are not going to change the way we play, then lets just drop the membership prices because nobody will be grateful for paying the extreme seat rents while being served up garbage

Hi Raglan - just popped by Polly's place.

Naturally, I would just shut off my evaporative system (just a flick of the switch) yet keep my water flowing through the system (which means I don't have to bother turning a knob) and then just bunker down and do nothing.

There's nothing easier to do than nothing - no need to mount an argument or anything, you just do nothing.

If the whole place burnt down no one would remember it being there in the first place after a while.

No probs - I've got my fire plan in place, it was simple really.

My relevant points...
Do you ever see him coaching from the boundary line dugout like some of the younger more progressive coaches now do, he wont because he is a control freak and has to be in charge of every idea/decision from the coaches box (god forgive any one who disagrees with him and his strategies)
Another thing to ponder on is the quality of the assistant coaches, lets say Roly came down with an illness and couldnt coach over the next few weeks, who has the quality to step up (he doesnt like to surround himself with a potential threat)

I'm not sure coaching from the boundary is all it is made out to be, it is probably only a fad. More to the point is the fact that there is no-one in the Freo coaching box that is likely to be appointed head coach, or be headhunted by any club above auskick level, and very few of that level or below.

The biggest impediment to Ross coaching from the boundary is the risk we slam on 8 goals straight in the time it takes him to make his way down from the box to the boundary.
