The facts are, WTB, there have been 2 incidences of players breaking obscure rules in the last week. 1 player was penalised which possibly changed the result of the game, 1 player was not, which changed the result of the game. The player penalised was from Freo, the player not penalised was not. Some people have drawn conclusions from that and previous history in such matters. Nothing wrong with playing the victimisation card, if you are being victimised. As I like to quote Steve Earle, "Just because you are paranoid, it does not mean they are not out to get you."

It was not the only strange thing Rampe was involved in on Friday night, with the defender also having an exchange with umpire Brent Wallace earlier in the game.

When Rampe was caught holding the ball after failing to hear the umpire's call, the Swans defender told Wallace that he "talks like a little girl".

Rampe was being a naughty boy and umpire told him to knock it off. There’s no rule for climbing a post because the person who wrote the rules probably assumed the players would have too much self-respect to do it.

Now Rampe has proven that to be a flawed assumption I’m sure they’ll add it to the rules.

It was the same with throwing grass. At some point there probably wasn’t a rule and the umpire would have just told Hill to knock it off. But there is a rule, so now the umpire has to enforce it.

I know people like to give umpires a hard time, but their jobs would be easier if the highly paid professionals they officiate didn’t act like children.

Hill was correctly penalised. You can’t throw stuff at the man kicking the ball. Hill threw stuff at the man kicking the ball. The penalty was correct and should have been applied. It was dumb. It is obscure because other players know not to do it. It wasn’t victimising Freo,

Rampe should have been penalised. Equally dumb. But it had nothing to do with Freo. It’s about as sensible to suggest that his non penalty was evidence of Freo bias as to point to Trumps non impeachment as unfair because RoLy would have been impeached if he was president.

The facts are, 2 different rules were broken. The Fremantle player who broke a rule for throwing grass was penalised. A Sydney player who broke the rule of shaking a goal post was not penalised. To compare these two is drawing a long bow.
If Dane rampe was on the mark, threw grass at the Don's player who was lining up from 60 and then wasn't penalised...I'd concede and say all umpires are against fremantle and it's all a big conspiracy by the Russians to kick us out of the competition because we didn't support Trump at the last US election. The afl is also trying to cover up our role in the moon landing and isn't letting us communicate with interdimentional entities via dmt any more.
