At this minute for Banfield to come in, who would he replace? I see him as an inside mid, or tagger...but definitely on ball. But, his designated spot seems to be as a forward, which he isn't. He will get another go before too long, unless we keep on winning...

Whatever his form in the twos, I'd back Hodor to rise to the challenge of playing in the bigs, just like he did on debut. I don't see the point of playing Lobb in the ruck until he inevitably breaks down. IMO he's our best forward-line contested mark and a better kick than Tabs, who I'd play upfield as a linking player.

Watching Peel I worry about the connection to the bigs style of play at the moment. It looks like they are all just individuals running around to get a kick with very little enthusiasm. Obviously playing two's isn't where you want to be but with the amount of afl players getting on the paddock they should be beating most teams if they played same as the main group. I'd be changing Shep out next year

Wingmen, you are spot on the money, how can a team with 13 afl players get beat by 10 goals plus
Cam Sheppard has his hands tied ie amount of game time and more importantly game plan/style but still think a Micky Barlow as a Capt/coach would be a good result (teach the new boys out on the ground)
Anyway i will be there tomorrow but as our game plan is locked in (no flair or forwards) it will be a tight contest and hopefully we fall over the line
PS/ looking forward to what Conner B can bring to the contest, but the boy from Tassie needs to show something at CHF otherwise might not be there next year

Well Matt, now that you asked, the wafl took the Mandurah zone away from SFFC so Peel could be formed.
Bastards.

I wonder if the club has sat down and worked out whether the alignment is actually developing their players quicker or better than the old system where they were farmed out to the other wafl clubs.

You cant expect a mostly new and ever changing group of young AFL hopefuls thrown together to compete with mostly mature bodied WAFl players.

I would think Mcarthy's spot is still under pressure.

Yes , he's gotta great kick
Yes ,he has X- factor
Yes, he plays more like a forward flanker rather than a tall.

But to me, he's lacking '4 quarter presence.' He's in & out of the game too much.

If you were an opposition coach, his 'x-factor' worries you, but, you probably accept hes just gonna pop up now and again, but for most of the game, he can be contained.

Now, if Lobbe took Mcarthy's place in the forward line, and you have Tabs, Hogan and Lobbe, ...well,...if you are an opposition coach, I reckon you've got a 4 quarter headache!!

In a way, Hogan becomes the replacement for Mcarthy, because of his mobility, and Lobbe & Tabs are your big marking talls.

That way Hodor plays, and we need him doing the workload of a ruckman - not Lobbe.

Plus, I'm not sure playing at Peel aids his development much?
Throw him in the deep end...thats where he thrives...

Well how come the WC WAFL side have done so well in their first season? And how did Peel manage to win two grand finals in a row if that was the case?
