TOPIC: Under 18s Black Swans

Mission Man Under 18s Black Swans 4 years 11 months ago #1

Mission Man
A modest contribution from the East Fremantle Breeding Ground of Champions to this year's WA U18 Squad.

Claremont: Joel Western, Liam Henry, Cameron Anderson, Ronin O’Connor, Jack Buller, Callum Jamieson.

East Fremantle: Brandon Walker, Chad Warner, Jeremy Sharp, Jai Jackson, Max Murphy, Trey Ruscoe, Reuben McGuire, Luke Jackson, Trent Rivers

East Perth: Nil

Peel Thunder: Tyrone Thorne, Jarvis Pina

Perth: Nathan O’Driscoll, Deven Robertson, Regan Clarke, Elijah Taylor, Logan McDonald

South Fremantle: Nil

Subiaco: Tristan Hobley, Nicholas Martin

Swan Districts: Riley Garcia, Zane Trew, Ty Sears, Jake Pasini, Nathan Ireland, Denver Grainger-Barras

West Perth: Ben Johnson, Jaxon Prior, Ryan Hudson, Zak Patterson

Train-on squad members: Owen Dann, John Garlett (East Fremantle), Mitchell Georgiades (Subiaco), Jermarl Daly (Swan Districts), Heath Chapman, Michael Mallard (West Perth).

Liam Henry, Luke Jackson and Jeremy Sharp are getting all the attention - and deservedly so - but I like the look of young Garlett and wish him all the best for the future.

Were Soufs aware this sort of thing was on?

Liam Henry is our Academy player from up north and has been getting some big possession games, also a dangerous forward. Kicked 4 goals with 24 disposals a week ago and also impressed pre season when he played intra club with seniors. A few interesting stories as well on the Club website.

I'm shocked about East Perth, see great players from Mt Lawley Roos and Coolbinia/Cardies.

U18's selections is a joke.

I'd like to congratulate East Freo for also having the most Brandons, Chads, Jais, Treys and Reubens in the squad.

It's rare Claremont is out-pointed for obnoxious given names.

Yep, and not a single double-barrel surname. It’s a bit disappointing really.

If they didn’t get an Uber Black to training, how would you even know they were from Claremont

Bloody hell Polly, what's in the water up Basso way. There's a Ty, a Zane and a Denver double barrel surname.

I reckon it must be the sudafed generation starting to come through.

Yes I am really interested in to see how Liam Henry goes in the championships. He is being touted as a possible top 10 pick. The NGA seems to be a good zone for us. Jason Carter is coming along down at Peel and we missed out on Sam Petrevski-Seton by one year. If it keeps going like this no doubt the AFL will shut it down.

Agree Yos and what a fine, strong name Eugene Yossarian is. People could do a lot worse when naming their child.

And when was the last time anyone met a “Randolph” or a “Larry” for that matter?
