We need another lumbering giant to cast fear into the heathen masses. particularly the next Western Derby, he can line up gaffe (this is the correct spelling of his name, I think he changed it by deed poll) in the Centre square

If memory serves, when Brisbane were winning Premierships they didn't really bother getting Clark Keating on the park until halfway through the season, as they wanted him fit and firing for the finals.

I really hope Sandi can get on the park later this season. If we’re close to finals contention he could swing a game to get us there, and if we miss out it would be great to see him get a farewell game.

If both were fully fit and in form, Sandi is a much more impactful player than Lobb. That said, if Tabs was out of form you might shift Lobb to deep forward and leave out Tabs.

It's good to have options.

What he did say was "I haven’t had one conversation with Aaron about that (retirement)."

“He’s really keen to get back, I think the timeframe is late in the season, about round 17."

RL also said the reports of Sandi's proposed retirement were unsubstantiated and unattributed.

Most likely, this was just a rumour, created by one of the too many third-rate journos around, looking for a no-effort story to be published, by asking a loaded question, drawing an instant conclusion, then getting a second bite of the cherry with a stock standard follow-up 'Freo denies rumour' story.
