Was worried after GC, am not entirely convinced about the style of the wins, but, the job is getting done.

Just keep the attacking, moving-the-ball-forward style RoLy, and try & clean things up a bit.

Effort is one thing, but neatness needs more work.

I was at the game last night and saw 22 individuals ( except Mundy, Hill, Walters, Lobb and Fyfe ) with a dysfunctional forward line ( except Matera )

If the season continues in this fashion he is in a good spot.
With 30+ players turned over in three years the team looks to have real potential for a group of guys not having played together much.
A lot of water to pass under this bridge yet.
Mundy spoke quite highly of the belief and feel around the club.
Let’s hope current form is a true representation of where we are at.

It might work with more depth available. Freo have consistently faded in the second halves of most recent seasons due to injuries and having young players.

With the addition of several 4-5 year players recently, hopefully the effort can be sustained.

He needs to make effective player rotations throughout the season to reduce injuries and fatigue.

We also have a few LTI players who might make it back. It's only Round 7 but it is a close season and Top 4/Top 8 is definitely possible with the start they've had.

Win most home games and win a few away. It's served the other mob well for a long time.

Lets wait for the rest of the season before deciding. But clearly we aren't that fatigued, because we come out and blitz the opposition in the last quarter.
I still think we are an 8 - 10 on the ladder side. We need to get another year into the young guys, and we need more depth. Look at last year when Fyfe and Bradley Hill went missing. We were stuffed. This year we are spoiled for choice with tall options and defenders, and reasonably served by small forwards, but mids and top class ball delivers like Hill are still thin on the ground.

I want him gone.
But fair is fair so far the team has been competitive. The forward line still looks disorganised but I will accept it takes a bit of time to jel.
Will see how we go over the next few weeks with Adelaide and Richmond.

I would love nothing better than to be proven wrong as the success of the team is more important than my pride.’
It is early and if you look at our early record over the previous 2 years we started in similar fashion albeit without the belting of port Adelaide this year.

Let’s not get excited too early, with a bit of luck and healthy list it is promising.

I'm hard to please.
There was a case for putting someone on Caleb Daniel rebounding from the back. Without Mundy;s and Matera's heroics and effort, we were in the same trouble as against Gold Coast and their sweeper Harbrow. The next good team to employ those tactics beats us.
Our wins have been close.
Kick straighter, and St Kilda win.
The Dogs were one decent forward short of making us pay.

Up to now, we have champion players on each line who lift in Q4, and I have to admit that RoLy has the team playing an ugly style confidently.
I don't think that by itself is sufficient to get top-four, but I'd love to be proven wrong, still early days.

Why do we even have to concern ourselves with a coach's contract. We have won 4 and lost 2. That is, broadly speaking, an ok start.
Other teams that could have beat us or our accuracy getting us over the line...is all ifs and buts. We are 4 and 2. We have won ugly and won beautiful. Enjoy every good moment, eg Hughes' bump on that WB sucker was a work of art. Tabs showing some nastiness with a couple of doggies at quarter time. Hill letting some knob know that Walters is his mate. Matera playing as a genuine goal sneak.
It goes on and on...lots and lots of great moments, and...4 wins!

Aren't we really just doing what was expected pre season at this stage with 4 & 2?
We weren't expected to beat GWS but were expected to beat GC with the others going as hoped for. Our % is a pleasant change though.
Even though we're second on the ladder I bet we don't start favourites next week. Jeb55 reckons Adelaide are crap but I'm not so sure plus our record over there is terrible.
