We've obviously got a new strategy. Keep the scores close for the first 3 quarters, then kick away at the start of the last, and hang on at the end. We must be bludging for the first 3 quarters to have the energy to carry on in the 4th.

To awnser ur question purple power - not great, lachie Neal who was essentially a swap for hogan is Brisbane’s Bog most weeks at the moment and we never would have been smashed in the clearance like we were tonight with him in there. Hogan is a good player with foward presence but he’s no lachie Neal.

But Lachie didn't wanna stay, possibly as we only had pick 86 so we would be in same boat as last year. at least we've now got a forward/mid in Hogan which takes best back from Tabs and of course we also got Lobb - have to look at the positives.

I didn't wan't Lachie to go but it's created new opportunity's for players and helped us get a better forward line, you never know he may come back to us after his contract at Brissy finishes.

I also want to say how good the Bulldogs were for lining up at the end of the game to clap Mundy off the ground.

I’m still not convinced that we traded that well, essentially we have upgraded Cox and Hodor to Hogan & Lobb, which is better for the short term but if we lose Cox & Hodor who go looking for greater opportunities we may well regret it in the long run.

Also, what happens when Sandi gets fit again, do we drop Lobb to peel as well as Hodor?

Edit: for the record, IMHO Hodor is a better ruck than Lobb, I’d like to see Tabs played on the wing and have Lobb up forward where we drafted him to play.

Lobb, Hogan, Colyer and Conca are all experienced AFL players and part of the reason Freo is 4-2.

Hodor & Cox would have 30 games between them. They will play when team mates are injured or rested. As will Crowden, Giro and guys like Sturt and Valente.

Sandi is an interesting one, I can't see him playing for Peel but don't know who you would drop to bring him in.
