A good game by English. He won 10 less hitouts than Lobb but won his fair share of possessions around the ground. At only 20 y.o. he has tremendous upside. But not for Freo.

As previously posted by others, he would be playing for Peel as you wouldn't have him and Lobb in the same team.

So it is pointless trading Darcy for him, who incidentally had 35 hitouts in a 62 point loss to Subiaco today.

Darcy is useful cover in the ruck if any of Lobb, Hogan or Taberner go down. Or as others have posted, trade bait for Kelly or Coniglio.

Seems Langdon may be looking to join his brother at the pies next year. Perhaps we can develop a trade of Langdon, another player and draft picks for Coniglio and English. English was very impressive last night I came in with the impression he was a bit skinny and soft but his work around the ground and skills, including kicking were impressive, reminded me of Gary Dempsey.

We may need to invest in a sunScreen company or wrap him in bandages through the summer though, he is a bit pale.

I think Langdon is a great player, love his run and carry and he is a good link an so if he goes we need to get something good in return.

Time to reap the rewards on what we have already invested. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, it is sometimes just well painted.

Why would we trade without good reason, players we judged to be AFL standard. Darcy, Langdon, and the rest are players of the future. English may look to be the superstar ruckman at the moment, but when things get hard and tough, it will be Darcy who is still plowing through the ground while the likes of English are icing their bruises.

Quasi where has been claimed that Langdon wants to be traded to play with his brother?
It sounds plausible and I have often contemplated him leaving or approaching his brother to come our way. I haven’t seen anything actually confirming this as being on the cards.

But now his bro has resigned with Collingwood for some time and Ed won't look at his contract til year end ......and every off season he goes off with his bro and Dad, very family oriented so it's possibly on his mind. Hope not.
