For the record Morgan I never wrote them off and in fact took umbrage at a number of negative posters on here in particular Shane. I said let’s see how the forwards settle in and give in 4 or 5 weeks before calling it. Well now I have had that 5 weeks I’m calling finals. We will beat dogs, crows and tigers over the next 3 weeks to go 6-2 tough game then against bombers at marvel but a shoe in over the lions at Optus to be at least 7-3 after 10 weeks. We can then win at least 6 of remaining 12 to be at least 13 possibly 14 which is a position around 6 or 7 come finals.

This 'I called it about Tabs' game seems fun, so it's worth reflecting on everyone's reaction when Freo re-signed Tabs before the start of the season.

Of course most sensible people were all for it. Shane, from memory, wanted to wait until Tabs was out of contract at the end of the season before giving him an offer, when he could have left or at least having proven himself as the next Wayne Carey added another zero to his salary request.

Obviously the club had a view of what they had in Tabs, and good on them for signing him before he had a chance to demonstrate his value.

Now, obviously I'd never stoop to posting the link like Hypen. I've got too much dignity for that sort of thing.

Just to throw a rotten tomato into this Tab love-in we're having. I've watched two replays of the game and conclude the following:
1. Tabs cannot kick
2. Tabs can mark
3. Tabs pulls defenders away from Hogan ( hero )
4. Tabs has absolutely no self confidence and urgently needs the services of a sports psychologist
