Ross Lyon has his faults, but one of his strengths seems to be getting as much from players as they are capable of. His impact (and legacy) at Freo will be seen in a number of ways, but noteworthy, I think, will be his undoubted talent for coaxing the best out of those players that have the ability within them, but, for one reason or another, struggle to fully realise their true potential. The best example, maybe, is Michael Walters. Look how he's come on. Tabs is another. A team player who always showed enough glimpses of awesome ability, but was frustratingly inconsistent. Not now, though. Now he's a champ, and we're all happy to say " told you so".
