i. we are a young side
ii. it will take us awhile to gel together
iii. they came to play
iv. we are rebuilding
v. we are happy with where we sit/we're tracking well

I guess we should go with the excuse that most teams who've played the Eagles in the last year have used - "They were too good for us".
But I certainly hope the players don't go in assuming they will lose. Our over 60's hockey team beat one of last years grand finalists last Saturday. A team that thrashed us last season. Freo turn up to play on Saturday - and they've got a chance.
