I too was rather taken aback by Roos' comment. I always record the game and watch it later to get a more balanced pespective (the last few years I've been too angry after the game to think straight). I watched the first quarter replay and after that had to turn it off - it was unwatchable. I mean, how many stuff-ups, fumbles, missed marks and misdirected kicks can you have in one quarter of football (not just Freo)? My memory of the rest of it was that it didn't get much better than that, apart from Matera's brief flurry near the end that saved the game, and individual efforts from Walters and Ryan.
