We also had Bewley who was supposedly ready to go but has slipped completely out of contention.

And Banfield has been sent to the Roly graveyard of defensive half forward like Crowley, Barlow, DeBoer, Sheridan.
Heaven help us playing an exciting attacking forward line where the opposition backmen have to worry about our forwards and not vice versa.
Might be wrong be when you watch an exciting team like Collingwood in attack I can't think of one of their forwards whose job is not so much to kicks goals but to nullify a particular backman.
Banfield has been pigeonholed since he set foot at the club and he's only 21. Poor bugger.

Banfield has also been played as a tagger, but I think he would do okay as a forward flank or pocket. Either way, he is out of form.

I would have thought Fyfe is a quick learner and his focus should be on improving his leadership during the game. A Hodge in that last qrtr would have placed himself in the best position to carry out his finger pointing to control what was happening. I saw Fyfe trying his guts out to get possessions and hand the ball off until he was exhausted but what was needed was leadership of the team through strong direction.
He's got a lot of work to do to improve in this area because as captain it's not just about 3 brownlow votes.

That'd still qualify as a stupid thing to roast Fyfe about Freolifer. We had incredible numbers on the defensive side of every contest and in defence in general. To ask the only ball winner we had to stop doing that and defend more when we could never get the footy would be an incredulous and ridiculous thing to hang Fyfe out to dry about.
