Commentators were feeling sorry for GCS as they had been trying to kick themselves out of the game.
When Freo took the lead I felt sorry for the suns as they didn’t deserve to lose the game but I was happy to take the gifted lead. The commentators weren’t as happy and barracked even harder and then celebrated the win against us.

I listened to digital radio which is synched to the TV. I guess I got a different story to most of you. Maybe less bias and a more reasonable commentary. Anyway I dont like those TV clowns who all seem to have an agenda.

I watched it in the back bar at the Great Northern in Melbourne where the commentary was just a background noise above the chatter of happy, gorgeous and deeply intellectual, typical Freo supporters.
Even then you could easily detect the emotional temperature of the commentary, especially the fool Sandy Roberts; excited and triumphant when The Suns went forward or goaled, disinterested or downright gloomy when Freo did.
It was a blessing not to be able to make out what they were all saying.
