Obviously looking to drum up some insurance work seeing most of these games end up being demolition derbies.

While on this topic... when do tickets go on sale (for Freo members)? If general sale is next Monday, do Freo members get access this Friday?

I'm just not up to it, 2013flag. Its horrible sitting amongst the slime fans. I mean, it used to be fun until they started beating us, and then it was awful. It requires strength of character to hang around and keep cheering when all around you are being mean to you and saying nasty things.

So no more stupid ill-fitting red ball caps, but tyres slung around the coaches necks. Seems right from a Freo perspective (at least).

Are you saying we should be bringing in Winnie, Polly?

(Mandela that is, not Abraham)

Well, I'm an RAC member and for a non-for-profit organisation they appear to have millions to splash on Derby games, arena sponsorships, driverless car trials and rescue helicopters.

All good causes I'm sure but if they're rolling in cash, how about making my membership fees cheaper?

Ah, so now I get it - they want to have one of their yellow choppers come in and rescue Andy when he gets his face smashed by some thug playing for the other team. RAC to the rescue - straight outta Optus to RPH! Great publicity for sure.

Dave, would you prefer a model where they stop promoting themselves and allowed competing insurance companies to attract their members thus pushing up membership prices because they have unviable numbers? There’s also Avery good chance that the rescue chopper has saved s few members lives - I’d be happy to pay for that ahead of supporting a large multinational company that doesn’t even employ locals or know what a Derby is.

(I don’t work for the RAC and I’m not a member)

Your last sentence is why you have no reason for complaint.

Not really. I was with RAC when I lived in WA but am with RACV in Vic. I’m happy for my insurer to be not for profit and supporting its community events.

Here you go 2013Flag, seems being a member gives you no early access at all for tickets:

Be there when the Fremantle Dockers take on the West Coast Eagles in the away RAC Derby at Optus Stadium.

Match details
Round 4, West Coast Eagles v Fremantle Dockers
Saturday 13 April, 6.10pm
Optus Stadium

As this is an away game members will not have access to this match as part of their 2019 Fremantle Dockers membership.

Click the link below to secure your tickets through Ticketmaster.
Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster at 9am, Monday 1 April.
Please be aware that due to the number of tickets made available by the West Coast Eagles, there is no priority period for Fremantle Dockers members. You will not need to use your barcode or a password to access tickets. Please do not click on the link that says 'Members'.

If RAC are sponsoring the game, are they tickets discounted?

Or do they just pay the $200 for the trophy, in exchange for everyone wearing an obnoxious hat?

In short, how do I benefit from this?
