They won the all important free kick count.
But seriously, Brisbane won through intense pressure, hard running, and being creative getting it into their 50. In the end they just overwhelmed a team that didn't get the time and space that they needed to execute their game plan.
After seeing them beat us last year I thought that Brisbane were the best team I'd seen live, and its good to see them getting results. Its also good to see that pre-season form means exactly what it has always meant.

Lazerith: Bennell (#2), McCarthy (#14) and Hogan (#2) are all 1st round picks while Lobb (#27) is 2nd round.

In the meantime Freo has drafted Logue, Brayshaw, Cerra and Sturt in the 1st round in the last 3 years and none of these are duds.

Freo has the players to be successful, it is gameplan, skills, effort and will that is now needed .

The Lions had players in front of the footy, were not afraid to kick to contests, and were not sh** scared of making a mistake. It was entertaining footy. It was also interesting how Neales disposal efficiency improved with the targets ahead of him rather than behind.
