Still getting my bearings after the AFLW final; how good have they been to watch this year.
SOmeone mentioned a men's game tomorrow? Yeah, I vaguely remember putting some tips in a week ago or so, but for the 1st time for 20 years, and no doubt like many Dockerlanders, the battery is flat on my care factor.
So, will adopt old-school motivation
1. settle in with favourite steak and mushroom pie oozing sauce and gravy over me and whoever is in front.
2. When Brown takes a mark 15 m out, start tapping my feet and start humming along to this catchy old tune.
Hopefully, only once or twice! Things are never as bad as they seem, let's paint the clouds with sunshine for one day. C'mon Freo!!

I know a lot of people won't want to hear this, and I probably shouldn't say it but I feel like, in the current climate, honesty is the only way to go. People who buy anything other than the stock meat pie are an abomination and should be driven into the sea.

I'd like to think we win tomorrow. But I have no great confidence. Despite it being 3 years, its obvious we are still rebuilding. We have nearly all the players we need, but need more experience. And fewer injuries. And Ross still hasn't figured out the best way of using the players he has. Hopefully by mid season the injuries will subside, and Ross will have a plan the players can execute (if he's not gone). The experience won't be there though.
So tomorrow, I'll settle for a lot of heart, and a bit of system. If we play ok and don't look like a rabble, I'm happy.
But the one thing that I won't forgive the club for again is failing to recruit well and develop players well. The slime persisted with Masten, and now he's a premiership player.
