We've named the same side without changes - apparently Hooker just had a bad cork and Duffy should be ok with her ankle. No mention on the Captain, despite her big thigh bandage in the opening half against North and all the time she spent on the pine.

I'm not so sure, but there you go. If it was me I would probably hold Duffy and Donnellan back for the big one (but maybe they rate Carlton higher than I do).

Carlton are being talked up over here (Melb). On the back of the Taylor Harris photo story they are expecting a big supporting crowd and think that Carlton will be playing with added intensity. Should make for an interesting game.

I didn't think I was gonna like this season of aflw but I was wrong, I've watched every game, the skills are way better the playing style is better and I've even got some favourite players, Duffy ,Hooker, houghton ,Miller, Bowers and donnellan.

Agree. The skills have been heaps better this season in the games I have watched and the better teams move the ball forward very quickly. In alot of ways it is how I wished men’s footy was.
Adelaide and Fremantle have been a class above the other teams but I can’t see anyone stopping Adelaide unfortunately.

Disappointing result today. The girls deserve a better finish to the season. I can’t help but wonder what difference it would have made if the game had been played at the home ground of the team with the better record across the season, ie at Freo.

Injuries and the captain, Donellan, missing in the midfield took its toll. Injuries during the match affected the team.

The conference system was not fair (not only to Fremantle having to play away for this final). It seems to have been set up to advantage Victorian teams. This season Carlton has had to travel ONCE outside Victoria (to play GWS). Fremantle and Adelaide had to travel twice to Darwin (including a pre-season game) to play in sweltering heat and humidity.

Surely a fairer fixture needs to be made. These girls work full time besides playing football.

Unfair to WA teams? That is ridiculous. We love travel. We also love heat. Humidity is just a bonus. We also love wandering around with foggy brains, not sure what time it is or where we are. And playing at home is so passe. We love unfamiliar surroundings, and ya know we love being treated like we don't belong.
