Great to hear. Interesting comment by Joel 'we have simplified game plan, go forward/attack ball/try and kick some more goals'. Thinks backline settling and talks about sticking together for next few years. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully Switz 's injury not bad as would like to see him play a few games in a row replacing Ballas. He looked the goods.

Hamling is a real success story for Freo. Only a fringe player at the bulldogs in the lead up to their flag he has come on nicely. I feel like Switowski’s contract is a big call because we still don’t know what we have got with him. I am guessing the club like what they see and the contract was fairly cheap but it would be nice if we could actually get guys like this out on the field to see if they can play.

Or possibly our midfield was getting smashed because they had to hang on to the footy until Hogan and co got back to the forward line. Why play a heavily contested stoppage based game when you have skilled but light players? We have turned list over to get these players, and we don't use them to the advantage of their skills.

Fair enough to continue with the game plan if we recruited players to suit it, but what the hell could you do that is further from that than what Lyon and co have done.
