If "in 2018 our disposal efficiency was 73% and WC 72.8 and they had more ‘clangers’ than us," is true, well...there is absolutely no point at looking at stats.
There can be absolutely no way that we could be considered even close to 'that lot' in skill level. If Disposal Efficiency is a measure of that - and suggests we are comparable to 'them' - then it is a stat I will no longer look at, nor, consider.
Presumably, it favours us, due to our fine 'game plan' of taking the easy kick and kicking it sideways to a fellow with no attacking agenda.
Don't know if there is such a thing, but the stat that would count is "disposal efficiency under pressure", or the stat that measures 'Disposal efficiency going forward"
If they were measured, I'd suggest we'd be clear cellar dwellers.
Unfortunately - despite having 6 months; rule changes; an imported forward line; and, a desperate need to be 'something different to what we have been' - we still seem to be dishing up the same old junk.
I'll keep saying it, but results by Rd 6 should determine how much longer Roly is with us. But even more then wins & losses, we need to see a change in the way we play. If he cannot change...well.... 'out the door he should go'!
