Dunno, shane. Cook mentioned him at the season launch this morning.

I (and the club website where I had to look to remember the name) might have the name wrong. There’s a Darryl Bellotti who seems to be an accomplished artist and has some history with Troy Cook.

Anyway, I think the jumper is art that you can really see the symbolism without having to understand Salvador Dali surrealism. It combines club and culture and respect and looks pretty fine too.

Shame the official photo angle doesn’t show the best part - the people of the language groups gathering around the fire.

I like the Story it tells, I'll stick this in my man cave, hopefully I can get Mr Cook to wack his autograph on it along with the others who designed it. Why wouldn't you be proud to wear it?

My point isn't really my opinion of the design. My point is that this is a great canvas that could be used to promote someone who is a professional artist or designer. A young indigenous person toiling away in their studio trying to find their next gig to pay the bills and the buy the art supplies.

And pay them. And tell everyone who they are and where they can see their other stuff.

The way the shouty people do it at quarter time with musicians.

I don't mind the design at all, it's kinda paisley like as well. Don't forget it's a product of the Indigenous round and what that signifies. About one of the only things the AFL tries to get right.
