Weren't Freo up a couple of goals in the first quarter of that Geelong game? Poor Mzungu, not only does he not know which side of the ground his team was using, he didn't know the score!

Shane, I know it's Mzungu's job to communicate instructions to the team, but it seems a bit mean to dig up a story from the Geraldton Guardian to make him look silly.

Oh, you thought it was a chuckle-worthy story? It wasn't obvious to me that a regional rag's poorly-reported account of an anecdote told at a sports breakfast in Geraldton was funny or newsworthy, so I assumed there was some subtext.

I guess that was a bit of an overreach by me.

Seems like the AFL has done us two favours: the manditory 6-6-6 starting positions, and limiting the time Mzungu can spend sandbagging us during the game. Interestingly, it seems that it's not just the players where Freo favours running ability over skills.

Did Lyon swear at him? Did he make fun of his hair? Did he tell him he was going to delist Sheridan for the sole purposes of taking his running job?
