I think one of the reasons we diverge yeti is on the quality of the list. I reckon our backs are very good, our forwards – once they get some game time – will be reasonably potent, but that our midfield is bottom 6 material. From the sounds of things, our midfield went quite well winning the ball yesterday despite our one A-grade midfielder being absent, and Grundy dominative the taps, so that’s a positive.
But part of being a good midfielder is delivery, and I reckon that’s one thing even the presence of Fyfe won’t help. Again, we probably diverge on how much blame the coach should get for our midfielders muffing kicks into the forward line.
So, I don’t think it’s an accountability issue, it’s more where that accountability should fall. In any event, I’ve never understood what the causal link is between team performance and people demanding accountability on a message board. It seems a bit remote to me.
