A couple of things I wasn’t to happy to hear were the Darcy hamstring concern and Hogan playing through the middle.
I know we have lost a few mids, and Melbourne were playing Hogan on the wings at times but I am really hoping to see us try to play to a forward line of class. We have recruited Hogan to end our dire lack of big forwards, I want to see him played there. I would much prefer rolling McCarthy through there, his field kicking was one of his best attributes last year.
With the Darcy in doubt and Sandi already missing the first few rounds, I will give up very quickly if I see us start the season with Hogan and Lobb in the centre square.
Was any body at the game, I would like to know how Darcy was playing. I haven’t seen any comments other than he rucked all day. I watched the highlights and flicked through Heathers photos and he appears to be beaten by both Meek and Jones.
Great to hear that Logue is looking he goods, I have always liked the look of him and think he can be top shelf.
