If we play Hodor more than Sandi (as you might expect) I can see the value in having one of Tabs or Lobb push up the ground a bit, while the other stays forward. Hodor is pretty handy, but he doesn't yet provide the long bail-out option nearly as well as Sandi (few do), so having that support will be helpful.
The fit might not be perfect, but if the selection committee is deciding between Tabs/Lobb and a 4th choice midfielder, at some point you just pick your best 22 and make the coach figure it out.
