I have never had a problem with Karl (apart from when he was an Eagle). I think he is fair, and he will cop it on the chin. I, too, was pissed off with all the rumours and innuendo generated by the local media regarding Jesse Hogan, and I hope all these mongers of rumours step up to the plate and admit they were wrong. I hope Karl is at the front of the queue.

They should have apologised to Hogan as well. That article was a disgrace and never should have been published.

And even by his own standards, Langdon's behaviour around the Jesse Hogan deal was appalling.

I heard Karl on the radio during trade week when all of this was discussed, and he clearly felt he was 'lied to' and was miffed and spoke his mind. The problem with all of this is that I, as a listener, had no idea who or what he was referring to, and his blanket statement about everybody lying and how he now couldn't trust anyone, left one thinking: who's he talking about? Does he mean Freo people lied to him? Was it P Bell who lied? What's going on here? Karl certainly didn't go into more details over the air.

For making me think that perhaps it was a Freo person he was having a go at, then, he should be apologising, no question.

Karl was clearly being fed stuff by someone at Fremantle, which is another issue and whoever slurred Hogan at the club like that shouldn't be there any more, but he didn't check with anyone else to see if the story had legs. He just repeated the lies he was given.

He was running an agenda on behalf of someone else. Not reporting news.

It is and that's not terrible when you say - I heard that such and such will play in the midfield this year.

He was being told and then repeating things that weren't true about Hogan's character and behaviour. His message was that Fremantle were no longer interested in Hogan because they found out he was of poor character and had been up to no good.

There wasn't a grain of truth to that but there are people will still believe it and, particularly if he doesn't start well, it will be used by implied again by someone else.

Are we sure Klangdon was provided information from within Fremantle FC? Its certainly been practice for more than WA based football 'journalist' just to make stuff up on the hop.

I have no idea where he got his information from.

What I would say two things. He delivered it with a level of confidence and detail that my impression was he thought the source was impeccable. What he said was in Fremantle's interest at the time.
