Went and watched training today. Good to see a full ground game played with approx 10 minutes halves at the end. It looked to be a probables vs possible type game.
Notable omissions from the game were Hogan (ran laps but joined in early training drills)
Walters & S Hill ( Running along with Sam Sturt & Luke Valente)
Hamling trained but didnt play the game.
Ballas, Sandi & Harley appeared to be rested from the heat but must have worked indoors. Cant recall seeing Cam Mac either.
Some things out of the game, long kicking to forwards appears to be a focus aswell as streaming though the middle of the ground from defence and playing on more...
Usual suspects for the probables Fyfe, B Hill & Mundy had the ball on a string with backmen Wilson and Ryan dominant. Pearce worked well with them also as they appear to have developed a nice understanding together.
Tabs was on fire and looks very impressive. He could have kicked three or four and hands were strong.
Conca was in the middle and will be a great pick up for us.
Colyer played second half and lit the game up with pace and skill - he may be a surprise packet this year.
Others to impress were Darcy (looking very fit) Cox up forward, Brayshaw & Switkowski looked sharp and hungry.
Lobb was a bit rusty and went into the ruck when Darcy went off injured briefly. All good with him though.
Possibles were led by Bailey Banfield & Duman..Banfield especially was hard at it trying to prove a point..
Logue is a monster and although a little rusty there were plenty of positive signs. He was arguing with Tabs at half time about something..
Matera was average with turnovers costly. Hugh Dixon looked good and has developed into a big unit.
Tom North had plenty of it and was prob the best player. His left foot is a weapon and appears very smart.
Jason Carter is much bigger than last time I saw him and played quite well..
Giro was good too. Crowden didnt have much game time but looked fit.
Scott Jones & Meek have lightened off and competed well.
One of the next gen boys looked good with quick rotations on and off..
