That would be a pretty good explanation.

I've always just been a little confused by what role the white jumper plays for Freo. It's named a clash jumper, but it does seem to get equal billing which is strange because it's an obviously inferior jumper. We also seem to wear it away when there is no clash.

But the sponsors patches being different probably explains it.

It's technically a clash jumper but they sell 11 games to Programmed who's logo goes on the white jumper and 11 games to Woodside who's logo goes on the purple jumper. So technically we clash with everyone.

That's why we have that weird fan appreciation white jumper day, to counter for when they had to wear the purple jumper because of an away clash.
