2015 we won the first nine games and only the 70 belting was from Port round 23 was the only blemish.
Winning 17 loss 5 and finishing on top of the ladder.
With two home finals the club didn't make a grand final.

Remember it well Mac. Also remember when Fyfe played with a broken leg for most of the game. Could hardly run and oh yeah, the great Tommy Gun Sheriden spookfest by Cyril. Had we made the GF, Fyfe wouldn't have played and Pav could have missed but worse still, the Slime would have beaten us and have 2 premierships in 4 years. Imagine living with that on your conscience.

Well actually I do. I'm sick of being the poor relation in town, particularly when since their drug years they have done plenty of things right while we're still playing catch up. They rarely miss the finals and don't have to go to the bottom before crawling their way back to the top. No need for negativity there.

And who said the Vics clubs don't go through pain??? Can you name a Vic club that dropped off as quickly as us and still haven't picked up that hasn't made changes in that time. Any club for that matter.

Sure, you could outline reasons for the failure if you were bored, you can run through why it doesn't matter that they didn't achieve it but you can't deny that they set a goal, proudly stated it would be achieved and then failed to achieve it.

Yep true. Interestingly the least amount of wins he's coached in that time is 9-twice. Compared to 4, 8 and 8. Novice coach compared to the near most experienced coach in the comp too.
Plus it was also stated in the press and by Buckley himself that if he didn't improve this year the writing was on the wall.
So, if you're going with that Collingwood model as you state you would obviously expect the same for Lyon. Wouldn't you? Surely! You couldn't see any problem with that.

Jezza & co, It was stated publicly time and time again in the first 3 years of Lyon/Steves that Freo would maintain a spot in the top 8 of the comp for the next decade. That is what we are basing claims of failure on. We are not negative about it, we are positive about those claims of failure.

Everyone is just hedging around what needs to be done. Steve should be a presidente of somewhere like the Honduras or Panama - not our football club. I called time on the coach two years ago (and feel no need to repeat myself), nothing has changed.

But we easily have a top 4 side - despite everything they may make it.

I would like it if Biz, Drubbing, Gover and all the rest of my mates to get back to the footy with me every other week. But I can't see that happening soon - maybe in time, either that or I'll just join them too.
