Three grand finals is silly but this carry on that spending a few hours on a is getting out of hand. There's an impact from travelling but it's been shown that it's a manageable impact.

Can you imagine the VIC clubs being told that all GFs will be played in Perth for the next 30 years?
It is laughable that this is called a national competition. I would prefer it to still be called the VFL. At least it would be a little more honest.
Vic govt has a say? Crock to say the least. If AFL were serious about it being a national competition they should instigate the push for GFs to be played at the highest placed team's home ground...not just the non-vic clubs...the AFL!

It was pretty cool this morning, though that doesn't mean the earth is getting cooler.

The AFL has built in a material advantage to some teams at the exlusions of others for the most important game of the season for the next three decades. The proposed solution might be rediculous, but the outrage isn't.

Me. When we make a gf it has to be at the colosseum, the Mecca of afl, the place where all who came before went through. I don't our premierships devalued in any way shape or form.

You're missing the point. There will be a Grand Final match played at the MCG ad infinitum. But if it is best of 3 at least the highest ranked non-Victorian team will have one of the finals played at its home ground.

Don't tell me you wouldn't go if you lived in WA. Win or lose, the event would be unreal.

That article is an opinion, it isn't even factual. He is painting the worst case scenario. How about Freo play the Slime twice at Optus Oval, anyone up for that?

Who said the MCG would insist on 2 games being played there? It isn't contracted for 2 GF games.

It’s unworkable. If the same teams wins the first 2 then there is no point to the third game. It will be abandoned so money down the drain.
