Seems he kicks the ball through the big sticks - that needs to be looked at!

My real concern is on the highlights real I saw nothing about his forwards ability in our Back 50m arc.

Think he looks like a real good pick.
Who could complain about a fella whose a great kick, has good goal sense, and would seem to be that 'utility type' player?? Seems to.be the right size to be 'versatile' - like Fyfe.
And, based, on recent history, (Logue, Brayshawa , Cerra) , he'll be straight into the team.

This is a great pick....and I'm really starting to like the 'Bell -era Freo'.

Ian Hill may still end up with us, but, it would seem picking him as our #1 2018 selection, would be a move the 'old' Freo would have made....

I'll happily have the discussion with anyone about the merits of previous list managers. !!

However please dont construe anything more into my 'old Freo' comment than that.
I'd much prefer to see a multi- coloured jumper, I'd much prefer to see a HQ in Freo, I'd much prefer to see a team that has a sentiment of 'freedom to attack' ..... - dammit!- even like to see a whole lot of fervant, loyal supporters dragging a big fake rock around prematch with an anchor stuck on it, singing 'Heave Ho'.....

But I do like last years draft selections, and I'm loving some of the moves Belly is making....

Sam Sturt is a selection based on the things we need , ie skills, rather than crossing our fingers and hoping 'it comes off' ...

The direction is a changing, and hopefully that is being applied to the coaches box as well....

Will be severely disappointed if it isn't

Fyfe won the Brownlow because he was unstoppable. Difficult to match up. I’m keen to see if he can break into the best 22. If he does, and on merit, he’ll be something special. On the other hand there’s a lot of noise especially in the worst about clubs who have lost by passing on Bobby Hill. And a steal for the Slime with their first pick. It just never ends in this state.

I haven't read it but if the suggestion is we stuffed it up again, it seems typical. Particularly when the thought was that we would take Hill and that Sturt would be high on their agenda and a natural replacement for LeCras.

Just adds to the list of reasons not to read it.
