Sydney would still fancy themselves a top 4 chance, which means a genuine chance to win the flag. I don’t think Sutcliffe would be a contender for their starting 22, but might be a decent back-up if McVeigh can’t see out the whole season.

They are better value than a late draft pick. They could both play round 1 and be useful, potentially very good.

And you wouldn't be much of a football club if you didn't think you could get a bit more out of a player than Ross Lyon can.

I think Sheridan can have that gut run impact that Scully has at giants.
While he was no world beater I thought Sheridan had his best year . Might be worth a very late pick for them.

Sutcliffe not a fan to be honest , but then played most of his career out of position in the back line.

Will be a ball carrier at Sydney, keen to see how he goes.

I've always said you can't play Sutcliffe and Sheridan in the same team, so now they look like playing in two different teams they might not suck so much .

I'd rather see players we don't want anymore get a go in another side, good luck to them . I hope it works out .

Maybe they'll find the weights room in their new clubs.

DL has been a wonderful sounding board for all and sundry. So when the masses on this site stick the boot in our players like Sutcliffe et al, the club reacts and delist them. So you can’t have it both ways Shane. The club delisted players on the back of the people calling for their heads. Not because the coach couldn’t get the most out of them. From all accounts both Sheriden and Sutcliffe will just be list cloggers at other clubs. Because that’s what they were at FFC.

Jezza, Lyon did not listen when I called for Taberner to get a fair go in 2016, nor when I called for a change in the game plan in the 2nd half of '15, all of '16, '17 & '18. Nor when I called for forwards to be played forward in the same era. Why should he have listened when I called for the sacking of Sutcliffe & Sheridan?? It doesn't make sense.

If you seriously think that Freo sacked 2 players because of comments on Dockerland, you have even less a grip on reality than I originally thought. That makes as much sense as claiming that Pearce refused to play because of social media comments.

If they actually paid any attention to the comments on here, we would have had a forward line 6 years ago. Maybe we will have one next year. Maybe....

I always thought Sutcliffe was a bit unfairly maligned by Freo fans and a handy player. He played some okay games during this season gone when he had a go in the middle and up forward. His biggest flaw as a backman was his tackling which was awful.
Less a fan of Sheridan. Runs hard, but a typical recruit from the Freo era of picking athletes over footy players. Zac Clarke was another.

I've got a good grip on reality. There's an agenda by a few that our club is being run by men in clown suits. So when decisions made by those men don't suit their agenda, the knives are out. The delistings of both Suttcliffe and Sheriden comes as no surprise. They've maxed out as far as their capabiites are concern. Everyone wanted to see them gone so when that happens, its the coach that couldn't get the best out of them. As for Tabener, I think if it wasn't for Roly, the kid would have been gone a few years ago. I'm gonna make a prediction here. Even when we make the 8 next year, there will be some still unhappy.
