So it’s been 3 years since Freo won its Rd1 fixture. NM in Mar at 3.30pm, during Perth Summer months, surely it’s a winnable game. Don’t know why we’re whining about the schedule. Any advantage we get, it’s a YES from me. Though it’s now likely we play North again in Hobart in Antarctic conditions.

What is the the AFL doing? Carlton first up for the first slaughter? VAFL still hanging on to a a traditional story of a day long gone.
Shaw and Lloyd in 2016 stated that the Dockers should never get a friday night game because of the crowd attendance.
I was at the MCG listening to that comment on a crowd of 24,000. Coldest night since 1942. And lowest crowd around that time.
Nothing was said about the Collingwood supporters boycotting for the past games against Victorian clubs.

Apart from the heat and sun - Worst thing is about the Craypot - for us poor plebs that live in the country and can't get down, a day/arvo game is really annoying. The sun in the stadium makes it difficult to spot a red footy on the telly. I'd strongly advise the AFL to use a yellow footy, even for a day game.
