The thing we have to remember here is that Karl is (apart from being on the left hand side of the old IQ bell curve by more than one standard deviation):

* Thinks the sun shines out of just about every West Coast player to ever don a guernsey's arse....which is surprising considering how much time he spends with his nose up there
* Is suffering from the worst case of Relevance Deprivation Syndrome seen since Cori Bernardi chucked his toys out of the coalition pram.

My recommendation is to regard anything he tweets, utters or writes as total gobshite. He's like a broken digital clock, not even right twice a day. He's football's Nickelback. Character and Talent...Karl has neither.

Top work Karl. While you're bringing up character, here's some WC, privileged white boys you may have missed...
Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher, Gardiner, Mainwaring, Chick.

Have a read of Judd's book, and find out what he thought of the blokes he played with. Don't think any of them will be buying him drinks if they see him.

Because you never do anything resembling research, someone has already done it for you.

Judd couldn't get away from WC fast enough..

This was Karl’s response to Freo trading in Hogan. It was an epic melt because he had told anyone who was prepared to listen that he had the inside word and Jesse would not be leaving Melbourne. He was embarrassed and then took the embarrassment factor up to Mach V with his tweet.

Goose.

And Jesse Hogan does not deserve to have his character questioned like that.

It would be a worry if anyone ever listened to Karl. It's an indictment on media companies in this town he not only got a job, but is still there.

No talent. No character.

Geez, Cranky, you have ratcheted it up several levels now, He's football's Nickelback I could think of no worse epitath for the man, but I do wonder who will be more offended, Karl or Nickelback.

it's simpler than that Cranky; he dons sunglasses before bending over in the shower.

"Nearly" Langdon's lazy, dumb thoughts have got exactly the reaction his ego craves: publicity. Stop talking about him - he doesn't deserve a thread on Dockerland.

Reading the Judd story, especially when he sensed 2006 was their flag year, and they were so gelled as a team, that they had the best midfield ever, was no mention of the fact Freo beat them in both derbies and they were scared of Freo getting past the swans and lining them up in the GF!!

AFL Premiership players:

Ben Cousins + Brownlow medal
Shannon Grant + Smith medal
Nick Stevens (4 x preseason) + Tuck medals

Also AFL jailbirds.

You can chuck in Wayne Carey, Andrew Krakouer and other knobs too.

Talent or character?

Fremantle firmed as premiership contenders with an impressive 57-point win over West Coast in their AFL Derby at Subiaco Oval in Perth on Sunday afternoon.

The Dockers trailed by two points at quarter-time but gained controlled of the match in the second quarter before running out 18.10 (118) to 8.13 (61) winners.

The victory extended Fremantle's club-record winning streak to eight games and moved them to third on the competition ladder.

It was Fremantle's biggest-ever Derby victory and marked the first time the club had beaten West Coast twice in the one year.

The club could still finish as low as seven if they lose to Port Adelaide next week and results go against them. But the Dockers today at least ensured their fate would be in their own hands.

Jeff Farmer led the goalsheet with four majors, while Paul Hasleby, Matthew Pavlich, Ryan Crowley, Peter Bell and Des Headland also notched doubles.

Bell also finished with 28 possessions, while Josh Carr was busy with 31 touches.

For West Coast, Ben Cousins tried hard with 31 possessions and three goals. Quinten Lynch and Brent Staker were the side's other multiple goal-kickers with two apiece.

Despite the loss, the Eagles remain on top of the ladder on 64 points and will look to bounce back in their final regular season match against Richmond next weekend.

Tight tussle early

Both sides opened the match with four goals, but it was the Eagles who held a slender lead at the quarter-time break.

However the Dockers responded with a four-goal second quarter while restricting West Coast to five minor scores.

The Eagles would go 68 minutes without scoring another goal, while the Dockers piled on six goals in the third quarter to all but seal the win.

The final quarter was a mere formality with the Dockers using the term to improve their percentages. Both sides finished with four goals, Pavlich's second rounding out the win.
