Nominate your choice and reasons. I'l defer to the experts on this site. Needs to be realistic. WA lad preferable?

No...we get the best player for our future needs. Midfielder/half back speedster, around 188-192 who will develop into a frightening beast. He can come from Widgiemooltha or Wisconsin, for all I care. Let's not get fixated on WA talent, unless they are the best player available.

I like Ian Hill. I think we need a quick little creative small forward. I also like the Morrish Medalist Liam Stocker, he is great friends with Andy Bradshaw and of the highest character if we go for a midfielder. Jordan Clark from Claremont seems to be a bit of a bolter and has played some good senior footy, he is a half back though and I think we are pretty good in that area of the ground.

Ian Hill or Liam Stocker

Yep, Ian Hill or Charlie Cameron's little brother from the Black Ducks.

Jordan Clark would definitely be a good midfielder and not restricted to half back. Big bodied, hard at it and decent skills. He could play at AFL level straight away
Ian Hill has the skills and natural ability and that X factor thing they talk about but is very slight and would need time to bulk up.

I like Ian Hill. He's quick and from what I've seen, pretty skillful. He'd do mighty fine up forward.

Edit: second thoughts. He'd be magnificent delivering the ball lace out to Hogan and Lobb...and Tabs. He's just about another Sonny Walters

We forget how Stephen Hill started out as a skinny kid running out of defence as a half back. Clark, I don't think, is as tall but his skills are very good and was one of Claremont's best in the WAFL finals.

Tom Medhat? Played well in the U18 comp. Good size at 190. Ian Hill seems to be the one but not sure he'll be there at 14.
Foley, Carter and Clark get mentioned in afl draft listings. Generally around the 10 to 20 range. Strangely O'Reilly not seen as top 20.

It’s Ian Hill for me. His couz would be disappointed if he’s not at the club next year. He’ll still be there at 14. Enough said.

I would go for Clark first, if he's gone I'd take Hill.

If O'Reilly is there at 30 I'd take him and Carter and Medhat after that.

Pick the best footy player available, whether he is 4' 2" or 7' 11", 10 stone 4lb, or 19 stone 3lb. We want footballers, and we want the best available at 14.

Both Hill & Clark have been on or around the pick 10 mark at various times in the AFL Phantom Drafts.

Don’t discount the ‘go home’ factor when other clubs make decisions. You’d be mad or at least supremely optimistic to think that the Hill boys wouldn’t want to all play together at some stage.

If an interstate side was looking at similar players and one was from WA and the other not - you’d go with the ‘not’ one.

Expect he will still be there at 14 but not sure Clark will be.

Hopefully O’Reilly is still there at 30 - those two would be great medium to long term players for us to develop. Not likely to impact like AB & AC but hopefully we won’t need them that early either.

Draft orders I have seen tend to place Clark higher than pick 14 but happy with him if still there. Ian Hill in mix.

But noticed Cal Twomey has this guy around the mark:

Name: Riley Collier-Dawkins
POS: Midfielder
Ht 193cm, Wt 88kg, DOB 3/2/00
From Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro
September ranking: 13

The big midfielder's finish to the season was excellent, as he pieced together three very good finals for the Oakleigh Chargers in their pursuit of a TAC Cup premiership. He will need to improve his endurance at the next level to be a midfielder there, having clocked in with a time of 7:06 minutes in the 2km time trial at the Combine, ranking him in the bottom 13 per cent of players who tested. But he is tall, strong and can also shift forward at stages.

The days of big-bodies midfielders being good for us still fresh in my mind. Though he’d need to pound out a few laps it seems.

Have you seen him play Bizkit? Any good?
