TOPIC: Tim Kelly

Huge mistake by Weak Coast.

A player comes out and requests a trade home to one of only two possible clubs, citing family reasons, and yet the destination club squibs it.

Whether they have an eye to Coniglio next year or whether they think they can dictate to the rest of the comp - the end result is they didn’t get said player home.

I’d say the chance of Kelly landing at Freo next year just increased by 50%. That lifetime of supporting the Weagles might have just been wiped clean after this debacle.

Return of Gaff stuffed their chances. They didn't have the picks and/or players to get this deal done. Still they are the premiers, but they can't have everything although they feel entitled to everything.
We need to get Coniglio next year just to stick it to them.

That offer of pick 11 really paid dividends. I would think we would be in his ear all next season. Possibility of some real progress next year show enough promise for a bright future. Eagles finish top four shows sins of sliding swoop in and draft him with our higher pick.

Hasn't Coniglio public declared he hates Freo?

Yes Polly family are everything but if he is supposedly desperate to return to W.A. he wouldn't dismiss coming to Fremantle so readily.

No offence to my club, but I found it hard to watch the full game against Geelong this year. He played in it, so he was pretty up close to things - I guess Lachie was too.

They baulked on handing over their future 1st round pick together with picks 20 & 22. That tells me that they're not confident backing it up next year. But I thnik Geelong are now in the driver's seat to keep Kelly long term. GWS will no doubt sign both Coniglio, Kelly and Whitfield to lucrative long term deals. We need to play finals next year. Its non negotiable otherwise young AB & AC will be tempted with rival go home offers. Throw contracts out the door. They're not worth the paper its written on.

Hard? Nigh on impossible Polly. Anyone who sat through all of that deserves some form of compensation.

And someone said that LN was part of the midfield that got smashed. It was Fyfe's first game back from injury and he led from the front. Basically cowboy was of no help. Well hopefully he helps Brisbane win more than 4 games next year. Beams leaving won't help him from being tagged most weeks.

Doubt Tim would have come out with that statement unless he had been assured by WC that they’d get the deal done.
If he had shown interest in coming to Freo, I’m nigh on positive Belly would have made it happen

Rawlings looked like he was in shock and was gonna puke when he was interviewed after it was over, I'm guessing they promised Kelly they would get him no matter what.
