Out ... Neale, 6 and 65

In ... Hogan, Lobb, and Conca 14, 31, and 55

That’s actually pretty impressive outcome (and players taken between 6 and 13 will always be mentioned on here in the would of could of should have banter)

We got overs for Neale, paid unders for Hogan’s and paid overs for Lobb.

Overall I’d rate that a win for Freo, especially as we retain pick 14.

Wonder if there may not be some additional trading of picks as I don’t see more than 2 or 3 draft picks being used by us. Might help clubs like Norf who need draft points for father/son & academy picks.

Would like to see those converted into future picks to give us a strong draft hand next year.

All in all it’s been a good week for Belly & Steve - though I’m sure there will still be some not happy no matter what they achieve.

Pick 5 and 78


After (at this point) picks 14,31,43,65,81(formally 78)

Lost Neale,future 3rd, 6(formally 5 before FA)

Gained 14 31 43 65 Conca, Lobb,Hogan

For a club that had no 2nd 3rd 4th rnders at start, id say weve dun outstanding and are well positioned for some local draft talent

Its easy to say how well we have done without knowing at this point what we have passed up on.

But its certainly not a train wreck. In with a real chance of getting Ian Hill with our 1st pick, if that's what they are thinking.

Could do with another midfielder, in all seriousness.

I guess it depends how many piks we use
Id say we'd use at least first 3 picks.
So weve already retired 3 ,lost Neale,gained 3--- so net result at least 2 have gotta go
Thens theres the rookie list and rookie draft so maybe another 1 or 2 in/outs again depending on how active we are.

5 Players drafted (assuming 5 looking at our picks)

5+5-4=6 players need to be cut
