Thornton ,you must be dreaming, B Matera is a shocker and Colyer or Switer miles better players
For my money Jones , Matera & Kersten are our weak links (in that order) and if we can off load next year
Apeness is now surplus but unlike the above is a "goer" with real talent if his body holds up
Likewise Harley B is a keeper for next year as can win a game off his own boot as an impact player if we can get him up & firing
PS/ please get back Micky Barlow as captain coach of peel thunder

OGS I'll agree Matera is suspect and I have no problem with someone suggesting switkowski/colyer/someone else should be ahead of him. I left Sandi and Ballas out just cos they are almost certainly in their last seasons and was looking ahead.

I am quite astounded though that people still think Bennell has any relevance moving forward, between the injurys and off field stuff I can barely see even a slither of hope that we will see the best of him. I also dont think we can fit Tabs, Hogan, Lobb, Darcy(or sandi), Cox and McCarthy in the one team and I have McCarthy at the bottom of the big man depth chart based on last seasons form.

Tend to agree with that RM.

Cox played the U18’s in a key defensive role and has great judgement when it comes to reading the ball in flight. I’ve heard he could play a McGovern-type role.

Similarly, Cammac has a big engine and a great field kick (better than his goal kicking) and he could be dishing it lace out to our newly recruited big forwards. Look at Mayne now - still can’t kick on goal to save his life but, when he’s not aiming for the big sticks, his field kicking is very good.
