Much as I'll miss him, I forgive him. He gave a nice tweet thanking us and the club, so far hasn't been derogative.

In the real world there is nothing to forgive, carry on.
In the footy world, I have the tar and feathers ready for the Lachieness monster!

Watching Brisbane against us, they were very good. They thrashed us in clearances (or at least it seemed like that to me watching). I watched them against the slime too, and they were going ok until the umps decided to call "kicking in danger" every time a Brissie player tried to kick the ball off the deck in a stoppage. They obviously needed someone with clean hands and good vision to get in there and get the ball. Hence LN.

Towards the end of 2017 I watched the Pies beat us and thought that they looked pretty good. I think the same of Brissie now. I don't know how many young inexperienced players they have, but I reckon they'll make the 8 this year. As should we.

I can make general assumptions about why he left, but accept that I'll never know the nitty gritty of it. That's the way it is, no point speculating because no one will ever know really. These guys - rightly so - look forward and don't really look back, reflect and provide an opinion that's balanced until they're old fellas (like most of us - and no one really gives a stuff by then anyway). Move on Karl Langdon, we all know why he left.

At the beginning of the 2017 season I was thinking about getting a good big forward - missing Pav (like most of us I guess). At that time, and since, I accepted that we would have to give up a quality player to bring in one. I knew at that time that Lachie Neale was the obvious choice - that hasn't changed since. Go through the list, weigh up age and player profiles and you'll probably agree with that. It's a bummer (as I would've liked for him to stay) but all attempts to score differently have failed miserably and we simply couldn't keep going as we have been for the last couple of years.

Adios Lachie, do your thing up in Queensland and everything will turn out fine. Any knob that is stupid enough to boo him next year should recognise that he had to go and we're in a much better place because of it. If you're sitting close to me and you boo Neale next year I'll sacrifice my mid-strength beer and toss it into your face.

Well said, Polly, especially the last paragraph. Good luck to Neale, and yes it would be good to know the underlying reasons for his departure. All we have at the moment is a slagging off of Neale, and various guesses to suit various agendas.

So, Lachie just on the radio saying leaving Freo was one of the hardest decisions of his life and that there's no reason (despite what some people have said) other than it was a really good opportunity for him. I've always seen him as a pretty impressive young man so I will take him at his word.

Yeah, but Naaahhh - he plays for someone else now.
If he kicks a goal to put them in front of us with 10 seconds left, you're gonna hate him.

He seems a fine young man. Good luck to him.
And, if he does kick a goal to put his new team in front of the Dockers with 10 seconds left, I'll blame Ross Lyon. I always do.

The sooner we can accept that not all things Freo are bad, then the LN departure is purely a personal gain and nothing more. There's no hidden agenda, no in fighting etc. But there will still be some people that think that the ARC was build for that stormy weather.

In reality we used to have two Lachies, we got rid of one last year, and then finished the job this year. No more Lachies on the list, job done.

So the consensus is he left for no reason, loved the club, respected the players , loved the coach , now saw himself as a Perth boy.

Hmmm , I have a bargain for you all.
