That’s effectively their two first round draft picks for this year & next for LN. That is definitely the ‘overs’ we were chasing!

Madness, in my view, but glad it’s a team other than the Docker’s doing it at the trade table.

Somewhat off topic but can anyone recall a Docker’s coach turning a 4th round draft pick into an AA that we traded for 2 first round draft pick 7 years later?? Looks like we might land both Hogan & Lobb for what we get for LN. Draft champions two years in a row!!!

We currently have picks 6, 11, 19, 23, 30, 49 and 81. So Lachies gone out and 11, 19, 23, 30 and 49 have come in. This should be enough currency to get Lobb and Hogan through the door.

The question becomes, is a team better off with as many stars as possible and then hard working players or an even spread of middle of the road players?

Jezza, maybe that was one of the on field problems with that stat on Neale as it was so predictable.
Maybe if he ran away from the contest and had the opposition 18 players follow him it would a better outcome with 17 dockers swooping on the ball.

Just this week two top 10 picks from previously drafts have been traded for 3rd/4th round picks. Just because you pick inside the top 10 doesn’t guarantee elite junior talent which becomes elite AFL talent.

There is much to be said for trading for proven quantities.

great great news. I can’t believe it.
We have Hogan the premier young forward in the competition and he is now ours!
Plus we got the second ruckman/forward we have been trying to get for years and now we have one.

Plus plus - we still have our first and second round future picks for next year, plus I think we have also pick 14 for this year!

The downside we still have ross. Given that lachie has now stated that he preferred fagan’s Coaching style as a major draw card.
