They are starting to like proper turkeys as they've now knocked back Pick 18 and a future second rounder offered by Collingwood for Beams. This pick 18 could be parcelled up with pick 5 and some steak knives for Lachie Neale but it seems like they are actively working to make sure they can't give us what Lachie is worth.

Well, not really because it's also being reported that we have suggested today that Pick 5 and another pick inside top 20 would get the deal done for Lachie. Lachie is 3 years younger than Beams and offers a lot more going forward especially when Beams is going home after his contract ends. Basically time for Brisbane to put up or shut up. The ball is in their court now that other clubs have put up reasonable trade options.

The offer for Beams is 'start the car' territory...

Pair the two reputed trades and Bris would be getting Lachie, next years 2nd rounder and 3 extra years from an elite mid.

They would be losing pick 5 and Beams.

Freo might have to throw in a future 2nd rounder or pick 30 to get the deal done if they are to receive 5 & 18, but only if they blink first.

If we will now take a low 2nd round pick that Brisbane currently doesn't have, then maybe we could give then Lachie plus pick 23, then Brisbane give us picks 5, 23, 32 & 41.

Then we on trade 5 to Adelaide for picks 8 & 21.

This will then leave us with picks 8, 11, 21, 23, 30, 49, 81

Pick 11 & 23 for Lobb & pick 14 leaving us with picks 8, 14, 21, 30, 49 & 81
