It's basically access to something like the old Billy Walker room at Subi (which was free), but in slightly nicer digs. There are (at least) three spaces at the Western end of the ground you get access to before, during and after games. The Riverview Room (level 3) has the aesthetic of a convention centre but has a nice view of the water and city. You can get food there before games and the club puts on some speakers – usually injured players – which apparently can be interesting (I don’t know, I’m normally at a pub before the game).
The Skyview Room (level 5) is split between a terrace that faces the city (it’s a cracking spot on a sunny winters day) and a bar that faces the ground, and from which you can see 70% of the ground.
The key to all of this is they sell full strength beer (albeit in plastic cups). I mostly use it to grab a beer at halftime, and a cheeky one after a win while waiting for the bus crowds to thin out a bit. If it’s a boring game, I’ll sometimes watch a bit from the bar that faces the ground. The Riverview Room is also handy of you’ve got a kid who won’t sit still, and you can take them down there and still see the game.
Like I say, I’m not sure you get value at $100, but $50 to avoid a whole game of mid-strength is worth it to me.
