Thanks to the club for trying to stream the Doig - in the end most of us got the thing working. To be honest, while everyone there was chowing down on dinner or desert, most of us streaming the thing got the ugly carpet parade and had to look away. To those that went - and are planning on going again next year - take your son/daughter (or granson/granddaughter) next time. Please.
I got to admit, it really bugged me that Danyle Pearce wasn't there. He deserves better from all of us. So did the Doig fella - that black dressed PA trying to shuffle him off the stage was a disgrace - if he wanted to enjoy the moment, leave him be.
As next year will be our 25th, I suggest the club fills the place with as many of our past players as possible - all of them. If there's any space left, give tickets to the Harbour Masters, gratis.
