I don't think we need to screw Brisbane over a trade for Neale, if it happens. All we want is a fair trade for what he is worth, and a 1st round pick + a 2nd rounder would be somewhere about right, if we could get a future 2nd or 3rd rounder as well it would be nice.

Jezza, I think that question has now been answered with a definitive win to WC.

Both Kennedy & Masten (the draft pick included in the trade) are Premiership players - while Judd won another Brownlow at Carltank he never looked like playing in a GF let alone win one.

And RM, I’m happy not to screw over BrisVegas for LN provided Melbourne don’t screw us over Hogan. Neither of which I think is likely.

Ive listened to all the reasons why West Coast are so successful and we suck. Some are valid.
Simple fact remains, if Kennedy wasnt at the Eagles they wouldnt even make the top four, never mind win a GF by a kick. Its that close, the margin between success and failure.
A single player can be that important.
Neale would never be that player, he would be more like a Gaff, desirable but ultimately expendable.
Hogan could be our Kennedy. We do that trade every time. If we need to use our pick 6 to get Hogan we do it, otherwise try and get Rankine or Lukosius. Forget Hipwood or whatever his name is, he cant kick.

So here’s the thing. What the hell is Stewy Dew and his band of merry men doing about the Neale to Brisbane scenario. GC are an hour down the road with great lifestyle to boot. There’s a bloke who wouldn’t mind moving to QLD, that is better than the other Lachie that they gave up pick 2 for. Surely they’re not that dumb to let Brissie in without asking the question of Neale. C’mon Dewy, get on the blower and offer up another of your pick 2 and we’ll let Lachie go. Plus they’ll have a truckload of $$$ to offer Neale once May and Lynch are off their books. It’s a no brainer.

Well...comparing the scum's list with ours is not helpful. So Masten is a premiership player. So what? He is still rubbish. Mooney hardly got a sniff for north...but hey presto, premiership player. They had a good run, have a strong footy department and coaches that listen. We need to become that loving footy club again, if we were ever there at all. The Board need to become really involved...they need to ask questions of management, players AND every single staff member all the way to the boot polisher. Then and only then will you get an idea of our "culture".
